Parent Meeting Minutes 10/21/07

Principal's (Diana Karklins) announcements:
The school will
participate in the November 18 event, which is scheduled for Saturday,
November 17. The program is to begin at 6:00 pm, school will start
that day at 2:00 pm. The children will change into their folk
costumes after school. The children will participate with dancing and
singing. The school will provide pizza for the students after school
session is over and before the event begins.
There is no church service next Sunday. In place of the church time,
there will be practice for November 18.
Treasurer's (Ingrida Heinze) report:
Tuition bills will be passed out
in January.
Parent board president's (Ilze Berzina) announcements:
Last week
during school time, one of the children was hurt on the playground.
The playground equipment needs to be repaired for safety purposes.
Next Sunday, the parents are invited to help put in framing so that
mulch can be spread on the ground. The family responsible for
cleaning each week needs to check the playground before school to make
sure it is clear of trash. There will be signs "No trespassing" and a
lock on the gate - Ilze will take care of. Diana will put together
procedures for safety in the school (fire, tornado, other).
A special reminder to all families to please arrive at school promptly at 9:00 am each week.
The next meeting will be November 4.
